From Data Mining
Welcome to the new datamining.wikia.com Wikia. I have been
appointed to "run" this Wikia, apparently because a second Wikia on data
mining would be redundant. My request to Wikia was for a wiki specifically
dedicated to open source data mining.
Since there is to be one Wikia
for all data mining, I (as bureaucrat) will respect the breadth of the larger topic while
hopefully introducing some copyleftist-oriented character.
It is also hoped the present wikicity will be home to some discussion of
data mining from the public's standpoint, including activist (including hacktivist)
perspectives, information on reverse engineering of data mining methodologies
(i.e. meeting business intelligence with consumer counterintelligence),
as well as concerns about privacy, transparency, information asymmetry
and informational democracy.
